Danny DiLorenzo
Hello, my name is Danny DiLorenzo, I am a 22-year-old student at Wentworth Institute of Technology, an aspiring graphic novelist, board game author, and industrial designer. All of my life I have been something of a nerdy kid, loving things like comic books, anime, dungeons and dragons, and videogames, so when I was very young and my grandmother taught me how to take a simple piece of paper and fold it into a beautiful crane it sparked a life long passion for taking the thoughts in my head and bringing them out into the real world. When I was around 14 years old I joined my middle school stage crew where I began designing and building sets and props for the school plays. Taking the director’s vision and making it come to life on stage really showed me that this is what I wanted to do with my life. But I wanted a little more freedom, I wanted to be able to add a bit of me and my world into the things that I created. This is how I stumbled across the world of industrial design, and how I decided that this was the direction that I wanted to go with my life. Design has totally changed my life giving me a path to walk down and goals to strive for. With every project, I take on and every new experience I have the world in my head grows bigger and more fantastic and following in this path I know that one day I will be able to bring that world into reality.
